Cloverhill Pictures is a creator driven film and television production company founded by screenwriter-director-producer, Michael Doneger. Originally conceived as a home for Doneger’s early, lower-budget independent films, the company has grown into a dynamic and ambitious storytelling hub committed to producing high quality, character-driven stories.
With several feature films currently in active development, Cloverhill Pictures continues to evolve, aiming to bring character-first narratives into elevated, commercially viable vehicles for wide audiences.
Michael Doneger - Founder
Michael Doneger is a Los Angeles based screenwriter, director, and producer. His latest feature, Fate of a Sport, a documentary he directed and produced alongside Matt Tolmach (Jumanji, Spider-Man), LeBron James, and Maverick Carter - premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival and was acquired by Disney/ESPN.
As a screenwriter, Doneger has developed and sold film and television projects to studios and streamers including Amazon, Disney, Paramount, and Hulu.
Doneger began his career by independently raising financing to write, direct, and produce several feature films, including Brampton’s Own, a romantic sports drama starring Alex Russell, Jean Smart and Rose McIver, and This Thing With Sarah, a micro-budget debut which he wrote, directed, produced, and starred in. He financed that first feature using prize money he won from an original commercial he created for the 2011 "Crash The Super Bowl" contest.
A graduate of Johns Hopkins University, Doneger was a co-captain of the Men's Lacrosse Team and a member of two national championship winning teams.
